Hi, I’m “Shinrin” Sam. Bros I’m an artist, mangaka, photographer, folklorist and naturalist. I write/draw the manga series Ronin Yoshino. My first artistic subjects were dinosaurs, wildlife, Dragons & mythical animals. I started drawing anime style art in 2000. I studied professional photography for several years & earned certificates. Much of my inspiration comes from nature, mythology & archeology.

Achievements:
-Ronin Yoshino chapter 1 won 3rd place in the ADV Films manga contest.
-Hidesato won as runner up winner in the FUNimation manga contest.
-The dragon king from Hidesato was featured as a flying machine in the Redbull Flugtag in Bucuresti, Romania by team Eroii inaripati.

Currently I am writing the manga series Ronin Yoshino. It took 8 years of research on Japanese Culture- the language, folklore, customs, history & clothing. All of which has taken an incredible amount of work, which is fun since I am still learning! The characters are all based on historical figures & personalities inspired from people I know.

how can i read this ronin yoshino?..it looks awesome…i used to buy inuyasha japan cards from you..do you have the manga or cardass ex cards to sell anymore?..i love your work..i still have your sesshoumaru fan cel..thanks…christy

Yeah, I still have quite a few InuYasha Carddass cards, mostly from sets 1-3 but I have new ones. There called calendar cards & gallery foils from a new set. I stoped selling on eBay for a while cause it’s been slow.
After I finish writing chapter 8, I’m going to publish Ronin Yoshino into a Tankoban (graphic novel book, like the ones VIZ sells). I’m going to be opening an online shop, haven’t decided on the domain name yet though.
